[Editor's Note: The Beat dropped the ball. This should have gone up on Tuesday, but you can catch up on the Baldwin family flyers blog.]

The Air Race Classic (ARC) begins on Tuesday, June 20, in Frederick, MD. Racers have 4 days to finish the race. It is a VFR race only - i.e. we may not fly by instruments; we must only fly in good weather. ARC rules include only flying during the day.

Daughter Lydia and I will be Classic #29. This year, Granddaughter Cara will be racing an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University plane. She and her teammate will be #31.
Lydia arrives at Grant County Airport late this afternoon. We plan to start flying east tomorrow morning. The race start is in Frederick, MD.

The ARC offers the link below as a way of following the race.
