The Spare Affair RSWho has the spare time to ponder the spare affair? Minutes tick by and I'm not so sure we can spare them. I just don't feel like a well-oiled time piece these days, but more like a tightly wound cuckoo clock a lot of the time. We all want to make the best use of our time, especially as we get older and spare time becomes more important.

Most likely you have a piggy bank or just a jar for collecting spare change. It adds up! Occasionally I have a little spare time in my day and wish I could figure out a way to save it up the same way I save up spare money. A time bank, perhaps one that pays time interest as well.

I was putting some spare change in my jar when I caught myself saying, "I really can't spare the time right now to fiddle with this spare change." I was in a hurry at the time, but I realized how absurd that thought was. I warned you earlier on that I was a little wound up like a cuckoo clock lately. Most likely form an overload of spare stress. My 93 year old Mom is at the top of my list at present. We'll be traveling back up to Oregon soon, meeting up with my sister Nancy and her husband Mike. Mom is in a rehab hospital still, but can never go home and live by herself again. She has been accepted into a wonderful care home, but where does the spare money she'll need come from?

We'll get her house ready to sell and we're trying to get VA money at present, for Dad was in WWll. Nancy and I keep questioning each other on decisions we have to make for Mom. We need spare wisdom for these important matters. Then, we'll need spare energy and spare time to accomplish what's needed. Oh, spare me the details you might be saying, but if you think about it, we all will have many, many SPARE AFFAIRS in life.

I'll close with a note about your car's spare tire. It was a mystery why my low tire light was on when all four tires were just fine. But, my car knew the spare tire was a little bit low on air. So, check your spare tires and carry on with the rest of your spare affairs that need attending to.
