We are happy to announce that Unique Nutrition has joined the Silver City-Grant County Chamber of Commerce. Unique Nutrition is located at 213 Highway 180 West in Silver City (across from Pizza Hut). So what is special about Unique Nutrition? Well they have a great variety of teas and shakes that you will really enjoy. Steven and Terrie Gallegos have a business that is determined to help you lose weight, even when drinking some of their unique mixtures... such as the Elvis Presley shake. Stop by for a visit or give them a call at 575-956-6948. By the way, we will have a ribbon cutting ceremony for Unique Nutrition on May 5 beginning at 10:00 a.m. I hope you will stop by. Unique Nutrition is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and they are closed on Sundays. Thank you for joining the Chamber of Commerce.

Moving... the word conjures up bad memories and nightmares. I hate moving. When we moved from Louisiana to New Mexico I lost a very nice fiberglass ladder. I am still looking for the sound system amp I had for my television that disappeared during a move from one house to another in Silver City. It's like there are goblins or something that makes items disappear during a move. And now we are moving the Chamber of Commerce office from our Watts Hall location to the Grant County Veterans Memorial Business and Conference Center. If the coffee maker disappears... well that's okay. I don't like coffee anyway. If the vacuum cleaner comes up missing... someone will probably claim I lost it on purpose. If my seven-year old desktop computer is lost... well, stick a fork in me and call me done, because everything I think is important is on that computer. So as we make this move, I am going to do my best to keep stuff from magically disappearing. I hope we have everything moved, including the telephone and internet service by next Monday morning.

Hours for the new office will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Will we give tours of the building? Heck yes, it's beautiful and we want people to see it. Even more, we want people to rent space in the building for workshops, banquets, dances, training classes and more. We are ordering new software to help us keep up with rentals, inventory, space management, and reporting that is essential to the Grant County Board of Commissioners. There are about fifteen different spaces that can be rented throughout the building. And all of these spaces can be rented out at the same time by possibly fifteen different groups. It's really a great building for Grant County, and we hope you will come see it and use it.

Our address may be changing, but our phone number is still the same... (575) 538-3785. Give us a call or come by for a visit... but please wait until at least next Monday for the visit.
