This Friday is Employee Appreciation Day and I'd just like to take a moment to thank all of our awesome staff down here at the Mission.

Simon Sotello has been with us for more than a year and runs the front desk and thrift store. He wears many hats and is in charge of the clothing bank, food pantry, public thrift store and community service workers. He likes to keep things clean and organized, loves animals and plants and is an outstanding artist. Thank you, Simon!

Andrea Rodriguez has been with us for around 9 months and is our cook. She really know how to put a meal together from some very unique foodstuffs that we receive in donations, is an excellent cook and is a great Mother with a huge love for her large family. Thank you Andrea!

Donald Shelander has been with us for around 2 months and is our case worker. Donald is in charge of helping folks meet any needs other than food, clothing or shelter and there are usually quite a few and he is also the local Salvation Army Rep. Donald loves helping his clients and has a heart of gold. Thank you, Donald!

Mika has been one of our Mothers (house supervisors) at our women and children's shelter for the last year and a half. She is in charge of making sure that as many as 8 women and their kids can live peaceably under one roof, while keeping a clean and orderly house; not an easy job by anyone's standards. Mika cares deeply about the ladies that come under her charge, is very community oriented and has a servant's heart. Thank you, Mika!

And last, but certainly not least is Travis Scardacini. Travis has been with us for around 3 months and is in charge of all of the maintenance around the Mission and picking up our daily food rescue deliveries from Albertson's, Food Basket and WalMart, as well as our mobile food pantries around the community. Travis loves hunting and the outdoors and is becoming a great Father to his new-born daughter. Thank you, Travis!

And a huge thank you to all our past employees, volunteers, interns and donors!

We could not run this place without you!!!
