Question to NAFBPO: Zack, what do you think we should do to stop the influx from Central America? The federal courts keep shooting down DHS efforts. That Flores decision sure has tied their hands.

Answer from NAFBPO:

It has been done before. As a border immigration officer the solution seems simple and has been done in the past. (All depends on point of view—is it created or true to the reality of cause and effect?) The government may be displaying institutional insanity by doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, OR, those really in control don’t want it stopped and are knowingly encouraging the assault on our borders and by that I mean those advising DHS and White House. Here is why. (America needs to get over the idea that people in other countries are like us. They are not. But there are valid comparisons.)

To Latin Americans in general and many Americans, the concept of the words NO, or illegal, are overcome by the visual. When they see nonstop on local TV their fellow Central Americans with children getting released into America and hear back from the border crashers that they got through with a kid, they grab a kid and run for the border. Has nothing to do with persecution and everything to do with economic opportunity. It is the conceptual message in the visual that creates the visual image (incentive) in the potential border crashers mind thereby trumping the words NO and Illegal. It is driven by the visual incentives America provides not the conditions in the home country. Even the MSM writes about this. (Main reason why DACA applicants have to go home, one way or another.)

To draw an American parallel, driving West on Interstate 10 doing 82 miles an hour with the flow of traffic in a well posted 75 MPH speed zone over 35 miles you pass in succession 5 marked highway patrol vehicles all running radar on passing traffic and they stop nobody. Yes, 76 is technically speeding, however, 82 becomes the speed limit visually and therefore the actual reality because there is no inconvenience much less a penalty for 82 and that produced the impression that 82 is also the accepted speed limit by those assigned to enforce the traffic law which clearly states 75 is the maximum allowed speed.

8USC1324 says harboring illegal aliens is a crime, in fact a felony. Yet there are sanctuary cities simply because the law is not enforced and this is the facilitation for the transnational criminals to operate within the United States as are Drug Hub Cities like Atlanta and Dallas-Ft. Worth. Achieving Border Security begins in shutting down Sanctuary Cities and Drug Hub Cities, not so much building a wall. An effective barrier is important but not as time and results effective as focusing on Sanctuary. Focusing on a wall draws attention away from the function of Sanctuary Cities and Drug Hubs and could be viewed as providing political
protection to organized crime already entrenched inside the United States. ICE is the most effective tool we have against Sanctuary and illegal drug infrastructure so why are the Democrats attacking ICE and protecting Sanctuary Cities ? In doing so they are clearly promoting more illegal drugs and human trafficking.

Backlogs in Immigration cases causes the bureaucrats to justify growing their bureaucracy by saying they need more employees to handle the backlog all the while engaging in practices that increase the backlog. That is dilatory at best. First, it seems Federal Judges ruling against Trump on Immigration are trying to create the visual/mental impression that illegal aliens and refugee or asylum applicants have due process rights or even a right to free legal representation. Certainly the MSM tries to create that idea. They do not. Aliens only have what Congress gave them and that is a hearing before an “Immigration Judge.” So, if the case disposition is transferred to the border at the time and place of entry the hearing and decision can be rendered in a very, very short period of time. Certainly more like 2-4 days at the most rather than the 20-day maximum being enforced today. And the clincher, create the visual of these denied applicants boarding a U.S. Military Marked aircraft and the group being off loaded in their home country from a U.S. Military marked aircraft. The visual will bring home what the idea of NO and illegal are meant to convey but presently do not. Sending them home on chartered or commercial aircraft sends the wrong message.

This is a no brainer. So I must assume the crisis is intentionally fueled. Why and by whom is partially known and partially speculative.
