We gave away a few turkey baskets, had a great Thanksgiving Day Dinner and participated in the Lighted Christmas Parade this past week. More details to follow later this week.

The 6th St. Elementary School Food Pantry will be this Wednesday from 2-4 pm at the school. All parents of 6th Street School Children are welcome. Please bring your own bags and help to carry the food.

Our Annual 6th Street School and Head Start Christmas Party will be held on Friday, December 4th at the Mission between 8 am -12 pm. Santa Claus will be there with lots of goodies for the kids and the store and soup kitchen will be closed during this time so we can focus on the kids.

If you would like to lend a hand or be an elf, please give us a call or drop by.

And Natasha Gallindo, our Health Intern will be giving her final presentation on the Time Bank this Friday at 12 pm in the soup kitchen. If you are interested in getting involved or would like more information on it, please drop by.

Up next in our cooking line-up is Calvary Christian Academy with Steak Fajitas on Friday.

And if you would like to help us ring bells for the Salvation Army (who have graciously provided the funding for this years Christmas and Thanksgiving Dinners, Turkey baskets and Christmas Party), please drop me a line. We will be ringing at WalMart in two hour shifts on Tuesday, Dec 8th and Tuesday, Dec 15th. We still need one or 2 people between 12-2 pm, 2-4 pm, and 4-6 pm.
