The Bayard Public Library continues being a hub of activity.  Their upcoming events include:
The Summer Reading Program for school-aged children starting Tuesday June 26th. The 6 week program will be held every Tuesday and Friday from 10:00-11:30 through Friday August 3rd.
This year's theme is Dream Big--Read! Reading incentives, storytelling, and arts and crafts activities are all part of the fun in this years Summer Reading Program.
Saturday July 14th at 3:00 in the library's conference room
"Dragon Dreams", a free puppet show featuring puppeteer Markie Scholz from Dragons are Too Seldom Puppet Productions.
Tuesday July 24 the Bayard Public Library and the Albuquerque Zoo will present "Zoo to You", a small animal exhibit.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. This event will be held from 2:00-5:00 pm at the Bayard Community Center, 209 Hurley Ave.
For more information, contact the library at 537-6244.
Computer Classes
I just completed the Marketing I and Marketing II with Social Media classes that the Bayard Public Library offered a week ago. I am seldom impressed with computer classes but must say that these were absolutely great! Good job Jody and Fast Forward!  This was a great opportunity you afforded the community and if these classes are offered again, I highly recommend that people consider attending.
The Mining District Business Association will be meeting on Thursday, June 28th at 6pm, at the Bayard Community Center - all business owners of the area and any "friends" who are interested, are invited to attend.
