Bayard Public Library buzzes with activity

Mining District Column
by Mary Walker
After being so dry, I am really happy monsoon season has arrived. The Mining District is certainly getting its fair share! Besides getting the ground saturated, these monsoons are also making days delightful - usually with a nice breeze.
The Bayard Public Library was buzzing with activity on Tuesday July
17 as 41 children attended Barbara King's Mandala Making Workshop
during the Summer Reading Program at The Bayard Public Library.

Participants were encouraged to donate a canned food item. This food will be donated to El Refugio, the women and children's shelter.

Barbara King instructs children on making mandalas.
