Don't forget, Fort Bayard Medical Center will be hosting a Career Fair on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at the Bayard Public Library from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. They will be recruiting for the following: Food Servers, Janitors, Certified Nursing Assistants
 
Hey bike fans - the Inaugural Tommyknocker 24 will take place September 1 & 2. Registration is now open and regular registration ends on August  10.

Get your friends together, and come spend Labor Day at Historic Ft. Bayard,on some of the funniest single tracks in the Silver City/Grant County region! We promise  one hard-rockin' good time!

Smokey the Bear Visits the Bayard Public Library!
About 50 children in the Bayard Public Library's Summer Reading Program received a special visit from Smokey the Bear on July 20th. U.S. Forest Service members were on hand to teach fire safety skills to the children.



The children were then treated to goodie bags which included comic books, coloring books, bookmarks, and stickers.

As you can see from the pictures below, the Summer Reading Program Kids packed the conference room for the Smokey the Bear presentation.IMG 1269
