Mining District Boasts Successes!

Summer Reading Program Huge Success!
There were 123 children registered in the Summer Reading Program and 13 Summer Reading Program events were held with a total of 530 children and adults attending.

The Bayard Public Library would like to thank all of those that promoted and attended the events and special thanks to the following people/organizations for donating their time and resources to the Summer Reading Program:

A Day with the Raptors:
In October you are invited to attend A Day With the Raptors: A Live Raptor Demonstration and Discussion with Falconer James Rodgers. Come to the library and catch a Harris Hawk and Golden Eagle in action! The event will take place at the Bayard Public Library on Saturday October 27th at 10:30 a.m. For more information call 575-537-6244.

ZOO to You a huge success!
About 250 people attended the Albuquerque Zoo's "Zoo to You" program following the COBRE parade on Friday September 14th at the Bayard Community Center.  A picture is worth a 1,000 words . . .
