The first example of why an Ivy League style education is not worth a penny is Ms. Ocasio Cortez. The Boston University graduate can regurgitate most of the Pablum she was fed in college, but ask her to elaborate and she can't even put together a coherent sentence. If you haven't seen her interviews, please search the internet for her videos. Sad, pathetic, but she's way too popular among the elite to be ignored.

Venezuela’s economy and society have collapsed under the weight of socialism. It has been the most severe, dramatic collapse in the history of the recorded world. When Hugo Chavez was first elected, Venezuela was one of the most prosperous countries in the region. There was plenty of food, access to medical care, schools, private ownership of business, farming, mining, oil production, etc. Now? Well, history tells us that socialist regimes take only one path and result in only one outcome: disaster.

Of course, the American liberal claims it’s not the fault of socialism in and of itself, it’s that oil prices have dropped. Let’s go with that shall we? How much oil did/does Cuba have? Is China an oil producing nation? Canada, Texas, North Dakota et al are all oil producing regions. Their economies have not collapsed.

I am a morning person. I get up and am ready to go. I love that time of day, the birds chirping, cool temps, sun peeking over the Kneeling Nun. Whenever I meet someone that says they are not a morning person, I catch them later in the day, and they’re not much better.

Most generations want to believe that they are accomplishing great things; making their society better. But too often what happens is they exaggerate the problems they face. According to many with louder voices, racism is worse than it has ever been or at least than it’s been in a long time. Racism has been so much worse in other times. Forget slavery; what about during the middle part of the last century? When there were numerous laws at the state and local level that legalized segregation, racism, etc. The riots that took place resulting in the National Guard being called out to attack protestors, even the peaceful ones. When was the last time you saw someone beaten and hung from a tree simply because of the color of their skin?

Kids haven’t been taught about those things in schools, probably because they’d also have to be taught that it was the Democrats that enacted those laws, that were involved in the Klan, that committed the worst kinds of racism. They still do today, by the way, engage in racism that is…

Speaking of what isn’t taught in school these days, members of Campus Reform visited several Ivy League schools in the last couple of weeks to ask if students could name the 5 freedoms/rights specifically discussed in the First Amendment. Truthfully, most Americans couldn’t name all 5, but you would think that 2 of them would be ‘no-brainers.’ You would be wrong. Over 80% couldn’t even name 2 and most could only name 1. Sadly about a third of students couldn’t even name 1 right. I guess ‘no-brainer’ is an appropriate descriptor for the students from the Ivy League.

Imagine what last call would look like if Wal-Mart had a bar.

Speaking of limiting free speech; Michelle Lujan Grisham was speaking at a rally or event in Santa Fe recently. She was outlining her plan to deal with guns and gun violence. She will propose legislation to ban ‘high limit’ magazines, assault rifles; you know the mantra. I have been told by two attendees at the meeting that they were warned not to record the meeting in any way shape or form. One of them did record a part of her statements which make it very clear she is adamantly anti-gun. But this was a public meeting in a public area and she is running for public office, so why limit the attendees’ right to record her statements? You know why.

The FBI kept delaying taking action to stop the radical Muslims teaching kids to kill other kids. Local authorities finally got fed up, took control and saved who knows how many lives. We know why the media is being relatively silent about radical Muslims trying to wage Jihad from a compound in NM: it doesn’t fit their narrative. But why did FBI agents drag their feet once again? This is what leads to conspiracy theories.

Good bye Alex Jones. The noted radio show host who specialized in conspiracy theories has been erased from the public domain, at least as far as social media and podcast hosting websites are concerned. The reasons given are related primarily to his belief that there is an ever powerful illuminati pulling the puppet strings of governments around the globe. Was he getting too close to home?
