Christine Blasey Ford makes allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. These allegations deserve to be taken seriously as do any such allegations. But according to the left wing, Ford should be taken seriously and should not be questioned. Thus it is incumbent upon Kavanaugh to prove his innocence, rather than his accuser or prosecutors to prove his guilt, against 'facts' that don't include the date, time, place, or other relevant facts.

Yet when 'Beto' O'rourke's past, burglary and DWI arrests are brought up, we are told that is old news and not relevant to his race for Ted Cruz's seat. And let's not pay attention to Beto's Daddy getting the charges dropped or reduced.

Rep. Keith Ellison is accused of abuse by his former girlfriend. There is a 911 call tape and police report with specific details about the last incident. Yet the same people granting Ford credibility and protection are calling Karen Monohan "deranged; a liar; mentally ill" and much worse.

Let's not forget the millions of taxpayer dollars used to settle sexual harassment claims against members of Congress. Why don't those women "deserve to be believed"? We know why.

Congress has been a swamp of cronyism, hypocrisy, lies, protectionism, and more for decades. It has gotten particularly despicable in the last 25 years, mostly because of the protection of the 'first black president' Bill Clinton and the realization by professional politicians that they could get away with anything as long as they had the right letter behind their names.

This nation was built upon principles as defined in our founding documents, of equality for all, to include equal treatment under the law. All people regardless of any station in life or demographic characteristic, were to be considered innocent until proven guilty, have a right to face their accuser, and also to be held equally accountable for similar offenses.

We have long known members of Congress were not equal to the average citizen in the eyes of the law, but in the last 18 months we have begun to find out it is far worse than we could have ever imagined. There is no due process for conservatives or outsiders; there is no equality of consequences for all offenders; I can go on but you know the story as well as I do. The rule of law stops at the borders of Washington D.C. and the rule of man presides.

It is just more proof that we must reduce the power that the federal government has over us. It was called a federal government and not a national government for a reason; our founders did not want to give even the impression that the federal government had total power over us; they wanted to emphasize the limitation of power as delineated by them.

How do we accomplish that goal? Elect people to represent us that will work with President Trump to drain the swamp and reduce the regulations, laws, executive orders and other mechanisms that have served to reduce our freedoms.
