The Girl Scouts made homemade pumpkin doggie treats for the dogs at the High Desert Humane Society. They spent two weeks of meeting times to mix and bake these and then delivered them just in time for Christmas.

All the girls are 8th graders from La Plata Middle School in Silver City. The troop leaders are Rosa Terrazas and Margie Ford. For more information on Girl Scouts, call Membership Manger Annette Toney at 538-2481. The Girl Scouts are open to all girls from kindergarten age through 12th grade in high school.
