Just 14 years old, Sierra Edmister has been playing guitar since she was eleven. Her mom, Valorie Edmister, said her daughter has been singing since she could talk. Sierra won firsrt place from first through fifth grade in school talent shows. She has participated in charity concerts for The Nest, Boys and Girls Club of America. She has performed at the Spencer Theater for the performing arts in Ruidoso.

In 2012, Sierra won first place in the Celebrate Young Talent competition in Alamogordo, which included participants from several counties throughout the state. She has attended WMNU's summer theater for children. Recently she opened at Farley's Restaurant and Pub for their New Year's Eve bash. Sierra participates in open mic nights at Sacred Grounds Coffee House and O'Malley's Pub in Ruidoso. When in Silver City, she has performed at open mic nights at Diane's and the Buckhorn.

Sierra opened for country music singer John Michael Montgomery on May 3, 2014, at the Cielo Grande Amphi-Theater and, on May 4, 2014, opened for Salgado at the Cinco de Mayo celebration in Roswell. She is the daughter of Valorie and Jason Edmister and the granddaughter of Peg and Tom Edmister of Silver City.
