The Kiwanis Club of Silver celebrated "Kiwanis Students of the Month" on October 7, 2014 with honored students from 8 local schools. These youth are nominated by their school to the Kiwanis Student of the Month committee, and once a month are invited to a luncheon where they are presented with a certificate commemorating the occasion. This Kiwanis program recognizes outstanding students as well as most improved. Both teachers, school administrators and councelors as well as the family members of the students are able to gather together with Kiwanis to celebrate this special day that highlights individual achievement.
