The Volunteer Center of Grant County has a lot of good news to share about the latest improvements to The Commons at 513 N. Corbin in Silver City.

We have purchased a greenhouse with our share of the proceeds from the rotary auction. Construction will start on Nov 5th in partnership with JPO youth, members of the LDS youth program and local volunteers.

In addition, thanks to some awesome volunteers, we successfully planted 50 trees, bushes and shrubs at the Commons! The grounds are coming together. Thanks so much Cheyenne, Gary, Rob, and all of the JPO youth for their hard work.

And many thanks to our local community from whom we have received 1,137 lbs of non-perishable and 701 lbs of perishable donated food this month. A special thanks to the local Edward Jones Financial Advisers office for donating 701 lbs of food.
