Barbara Nelson from the Imagination Library, one of First Born's collaborators and a non-profit organization which is dedicated to early childhood literacy in Grant County, read holiday stories and sang holiday songs.

Tyler Von Brimer a First Born participating father, volunteered this year to "play" Santa Claus.

To celebrate the families they serve, Gila Regional First Born Program hosted a holiday party at the Grant County Business and Conference Center. The celebration was attended by 41 families of over 120 people.

GRMC Maternal/Child Department Director Sue Ellen Siatos, MSN, RN stated, "Staff was getting hugs from families as the children were enjoying the festivities. What a positive happy experience hosted by First Born."

The Women's Club of Silver City graciously donated 35 items which were raffled off throughout the evening and the Town and Garden Club of Silver City made a generous donation towards defraying the costs of the food and gifts for each family.
