The Volunteer of the Month for February was Helen Jaurequi. Helen was born and raised in Fargo, ND. She graduated from nursing school and then met her husband in Denver, CO. He was born here and they stopped to visit on a trip to California and never left. They have nine children, and she retired from Ft. Bayard Hospital in 2008.

After retiring, Helen started volunteering at the museum in 2010. She likes meeting and talking with people from all over the world. Helen stated, "I like to hear the stories of why and how people come to Silver City to visit." Thanks, Helen, for helping out here at the museum. You are appreciated.
