The members of the Southwest New Mexico Leadership Course announced the winners of the raffle and 50-50 fundraising efforts on Friday Afternoon at 1st Savings Bank.

With a goal of $5,500 to benefit animals in need at Puppy Dog Ranch and the Deming-Luna County Humane Society, the members raised more than $4,071.

Beverly Lynch won $580 in the 50-50. Her mother, Frances Sellers, head teller at 1st Savings Bank, had bought several tickets and put her daughter's name on them. As a surprise, Lynch who lives in California, showed up just after the drawing to surprise her mother with a visit. It was a double family surprise, with her receiving a check.  

In the raffle, Kathie Gilbertwon a $100 Walmart gift card; Terry Hall, a $100 card for dinner at the Buckhorn; Priscilla Lucero, a $50 gift card to Peppers in Deming; Olivia Britton, an auto bundle; David S. an entertainment bundle; and Joe Heidrick a beauty bundle.
