GRMCGenerator RSOn September 21, 2015 Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC) will be upgrading the generator by installing new transfer switches. This is a major upgrade making the power supply to the hospital more secure in the event of a power outage. "This upgrade has been carefully planned out, so that patient care will be minimally affected" said Pat Nesbitt, Director of Facility Management at GRMC, "Some lights may flicker; the elevators and the heating and cooling system will be off for a short time, but nothing critical will be at risk."

The upgrade will take place during the week of September 21, from 9 to 10pm and in the early hours between 4 and 5am, with extra staff on hand to minimize any disruption. GRMC will function normally and continue to offer quality care to its patients during these upgrades.
