October, 2015 - In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC) Mammography Department hosted a month long gift basket raffle to raise awareness and promote preventive screening. All patients who scheduled their mammogram appointment to take place during the month of October were automatically entered in the raffle. Winners received one of four unique gift baskets.

"With over 250 exams performed throughout this event on patients from Hidalgo, Luna, and Grant County, it is clear that the GRMC Mammography Department provides a much needed service for Southwest New Mexico," stated Holley Hudgins, Director of the Gila Regional Cancer Center and Surgical Services Practice. The raffle winners were Wilma Tapscott of Santa Clara, Lydia Reyes of Silver City, Barbara Widick of Lordsburg, and Marion Newton of San Lorenzo (not pictured). "These baskets made our patients so happy," said Erin Zubia, Mammography Tech.
