Shoppers look over the wares at the GRMC Auxiliary fundraiser on Friday, March 25.

Frances Day, Gila Regional Medical Center Auxiliary president, told the Beat the auxiliary would be holding a bedroom linens sale in June.

"All the money we raise goes into our general fund to pay for caregiver scholarships, cancer center and infusion patient meals, hospital equipment, and receiving blankets for newborns," Day said. "We will also hold on Dec. 8 a sale of Paula's Bags and More from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"When we do a fundraiser, it's where caregivers can shop at reasonable prices, and the proceeds cycle back into the hospital," she continued. "This is our first time with Masquerade jewelry and accessories. The company works almost exclusively with hospitals."

Pat Minor, owner of Masquerade Team 96, said the company has been holding fundraisers nationally since 2006. "We have raised $28 million nationally in that time. It's a business that gives back to communities. It funds a lot of scholarships and building projects."
