Left to right, Mrs. Virginia Holloway, Dean Holloway, and Jefferson H. Jordan Jr., Grand Master of Masons in New MexicoDean Holloway of Silver City was presented with the esteemed New Mexico Grand Masonic Lodge KIT CARSON award. This is an annual award given to one outstanding Mason in the State, and presented at the annual 2016 meeting in Albuquerque.

In justifying the award the Grand Lodge wrote, "Your exemplification of our Masonic virtues in your interactions with your Lodge Brothers and in your local community sets a high standard and severs as a model and goal for those in our noble fraternity to strive to meet. Your community is surely blessed to have you working for and with them and I am sure all will celebrate knowing you have received one of the highest honors our Grand Lodge can bestow on an individual. Congratulations on a well-deserved honor."
