A Nuns Retreat RS"Best of Show" Nuns Retreat, by Fidel HinojosaThe Best of Show in Fine Art and also First in Oil is "Nun's Retreat" by Fidel Hinojosa. Second in Oil is"Zuni Adobe" by C.R. Thibeau and Third is "Winter in Mountains" by Ruth Hamby.

In Watercolor: First Place, "Gila Spring" by Marilyn Burbrink, Second Place, "The Owl and the Moon" by Jackie Blurton and Third Place "Wilderness Pup" by Camille Painter Davis.

Pastels: FirstPlace-"Laces del Senor" by Carolyn Paez, Second Place-"Copper Pot" by Julia Miller and Third Place-"St. Francis Asisi Church, Italy" by Barbara Smith.

Drawing in Pencil, Pen and Ink: First Place, "two Owls" by Jackie Blurton, Second Place-"Holly Beauty" by Carolyn Paez, Third Place-"Frolicking Filly" by Camille Painter Davis.

Acrylics: First Place-"Artist's Point Monument Valley" by Eric Sarkela, Second Place-"Homage to Matisse" by Tasha Marshe and Third Place-"Santorium de Chimayo" by Camille PainterDavis.

In the Crafts Categories the Best of Show and also First in Clay was "Blue Coil Vessel" by Tasha Marshe. The Second in Clay was "Black T-Pot" by Letha Cress Woolf and Third Place was "Birds in Reeds" by Letha Cress Woolf.

In Glass the First Place is "Life Spiral" by Susan Rice.

In Mixed Media the First Place is "Watch Out Bird" by Julia Miller, Second Place-"Horse Feathers" by Jackie Blurton.

In Sculpture the First Place is "I'm Too Beautiful to Look Away"by Stacy Schwarz, Second Place- "Giraffe Wall Sculpture" by Stacy Schwarz, Third Place- "Gold Mask" by Tasha Marshe, and HonorableMentions "Deep Bowl" and"Angle Party Pot" by Stacy Schwarz and "Red Small T-Pot" by Letha Cress Woolf.

In Jewelry First Place-"Silver Ring", Second Place - "Copper Earrings" by Arlene Sarkela, Third Place- "Blue and Gold Earrings" by Libby Beck.

In Beading the First Place- "Round Crow Design Bag" and Second Place-"Crow Design Cradle Board" are by Libby Beck.

In Fabric the First Place is "Blue Carry-on Bag" by Arlene Sarkela, Second Place- "Midnight Cowgirl" by Camille PainterDavis

In Photography Landscape the Best of Show and First Place is "Windmill on the Prairie" by Sandy Feutz, Second Place-"Moon Over, Tumacacori" by Sandy Feutz, and Third Place "Zabrieskie Point"by David Brink.

In Photography Wildlife the First Place Is "Shadow Boxer" Second Place is "Fawn's First Snow Fall" and Third Place- "Jack Catching Morning Light" all by Sandy Feutz.

In Photography Still Life The First Place- "Saguaro Crown" by Tom Vaughan, Second Place- "Down at the Hot Springs" by Sandy Feutz, Third Place- "Southwest Peace" by Tom Vaughan

The GCAG thanks Diane Ingalls-Leyba for her work as this year's judge. We invite everyone to the gallery during the summer, new items will be added through out the season.
