In the process of selecting a vendor to build and install a new flag pole, HMS communicated its specifications to Lackeys Welding. The owner felt compelled to provide the flag pole at no cost because he is an U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Jason Lockett, HMS Facilities Manager, stated, "We want the team at Lackeys Welding to be recognized for this generous donation. The materials and quality of workmanship of this flag pole are second-to-none." Jared Lackey, Owner of Lackeys Welding, added, "It was our pleasure to create and install this flag pole. We appreciate everything that HMS offers to Silver City and southwest New Mexico."

According to Dan Otero, HMS CEO, recognizing this donation also provided an opportunity to thank area U.S. Armed Forces members for their service. Otero stated, "HMS appreciates this donated flag pole for our Silver City Community Health Center. Having recently celebrated Independence Day, HMS sincerely celebrates the contributions of all U.S. Armed Forces personnel, including Jared Lackey and his co-worker, Justin 'Bear' Gerleve."

Lackey was deployed in Iraq, Africa and Afghanistan as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps. Gerleve was deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army.
