A Bridging Ceremony mark a girl's move from one level of Girl Scouting to another. The ceremony was held in the cafeteria of the Silver High School in Silver City. Girl Scout Troop #302 started the ceremony with a flag ceremony, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, Girl Scout Promise and the Girl Scout Law. Three troops participated giving awards to their girls for accomplished badges in the past year. Troops also welcomed new girls to their troops. Membership Manager Annette Toney recognized 2 girls from troop #302 Ashlyn Richey and Rachel Windsor for completing their requirements of being a Program Aide. As girls go, so goes their nation. The Center for Global Development has found that the welfare of girls is fundamental to a society's economic and social progress. In a very real way, girls are our future.
