4-Hers in Grant County are still busy as ever. On October 27, 2016 the Grant County Farm and Livestock Bureau held their annual banquet at the American Legion. The banquet is held every year as a social event where members are able to gather and socialize, conduct business and discuss local agricultural issues in the county. Grant County 4-H provided the food service for the event as they have in years past. The Farm and Livestock Bureau of Grant County and the local 4-H have a strong relationship that has been around for years. We are thankful to the leadership of the Farm and Livestock Bureau for their continued support over the years and we look forward to working together again soon!

The 4-Hers in the county were also able to participate in a unique learning experience with a certified Clint Anderson horse trainer. The trainer came to Silver City as part of another clinic that was being offered. Thanks to Valarie Geesaman, who hosted the clinic for the public, 4-Hers were able to have an entire day of one-on-one training with the clinician. This is a very unique experience to have in such a rural area. We would like to thank Valarie for all of her hard work in putting this clinic on and for her support of the local 4-H youths.
