Llapingachos, three different fresh salads and ice cream sundaes were on the menu. Cooking with Kids has been working with cafeteria staff and kids on cooking healthy meals in schools for over 20 years in the Santa Fe area. According to Alicia Edwards, HKHC Coordinator, "The people who provide school lunches to our children have really tough jobs. They are underpaid, work in challenging conditions, severely regulated, and almost never recognized by the general public for their service. Our goal with this event was to provide some professional development, present some new ideas and most of all thank them for what they do."
