The club's mission, "The Silver City Woman's Club is a non-profit, non-political organization, pledged to support the community in the advancement of civic, charitable and humanitarian endeavors", has evolved over 100-plus years to focus on local youth services. El Grito is a safe, nurturing and secure learning environment for local children and is one of the many children-focused organizations the non-profit club supports.

The Silver City Woman's Club provides vision testing to all children up to the age of six, including Head Start, kindergarten and first grade students annually. They also provide hearing testing to all Head Start students in Grant County and have scheduled the hearing testing for the end of August. The club provides two scholarships to students at Western New Mexico University annually as part of their local Community Outreach Program.
