Western New Mexico University President Dr. Joseph Shepard cuts the official ribbon opening the small dog area of Cornali Park, located at 1207 North Virginia Street in Silver City. The effort to build new fencing to segregate large dogs from smaller pets was a collaborative effort between the university, the Town of Silver City and many private citizens and local businesses. Assisting with the ribbon is Julie Cason of Silver City RV and Silver City Mayor Ken Ladner.
