This past weekend Girl Scout Troop 54289 was filled with the giving spirit. The troop organized a Thanksgiving care package for families in need. This not only taught the girls a valuable life lesson in giving back to others but also earned them their Giving Back to my Community Badge. The troop not only put the baskets together but also showed the true meaning of Thanksgiving by buying the Turkeys with their own earnings from last year's cookie sales.

Girl Scout Troop 54289 would also like to thank Dr. Virginia Hernandez, Dr. Susan Bauer, Dr. Brian Etheridge and Family, Anna and Irene Chavez, Carmen Castanon, Lori Wallin and Family, Brenda and Lino Woods, Stephanie and Joe Sierra, CiCi Lucero, Nellie Padilla, Kiana and Randy Saponaro, Karina Jimenez, Elsa Martinez, Frances Grooves, Mary Manning, Tanvir Hafiz, and First New Mexico Bank.
