photo 1 rsAdriana Leon and Selai Damuni talk to kids about healthy snacking.Silver City, NM (April 17, 2018) — WNMU Women's Volleyball, the Grant County Community Health Council and the Lotus Center all teamed up with Healthy Kids Healthy Communities Grant County for Fun Friday at 6th Street Elementary. Never one to pass up an opportunity to combine fun and learning, 6th Street principal, Bobby Trujillo and Alicia Edwards from Healthy Kids used Fun Friday to teach the kindergarteners the importance of healthy snacks, drinking lots of water, plenty of play, plus intentional breath and movement work. Judging from the noise level in the gym, a great time was had by all. Jim Callender, WNMU Women's Volleyball Coach, said, " We had a great time…worn out but smiling when we left."
