Members of the Grant County 4-H Shooting Sports teams participated in the State 4-H Shooting Sports Championships in Raton, NM on May 4-6. Members competed in shooting sports disciplines air rifle, rifle, shotgun, archery, pistol, and hunting. Grant County had the second highest participation this year at state shoot with 41 members. Grant County finished off a great year with individuals and teams placing in the top 10. We would like to congratulate all of the teams and thank all of the coaches for their endless hours of work and dedication. Rifle coaches: Charley and Sue Castillo, Kim Neal, Shotgun and Hunting coach Brian Miller, Archery coaches Shawn Brabson and Jeremy Garcia. Jeremy Garcia was also this year's pistol coach.
