(Courtesy Photo)Silver City MainStreet has been decorating downtown Silver City for the holidays for many years. This year MainStreet has done a lot of fundraising, and with a generous donation from Town and Country Garden Club we have decorations for all of the street poles downtown.

“We have also purchased a new Downtown Silver City Arch decoration. This decoration does not require electricity making it much easier to install. Previously, many extension cords were used to light the wreath and the cords were stolen each year. We appreciate the Firefighters from the Town of Silver City who install the decoration each year," states Patrick Hoskins, Board President of Silver City MainStreet.

The wreath will be installed on the side of the Murray Ryan Visitor Center to welcome our visitors and for the enjoyment of residents.

"MainStreet is also hosting a merchant window decoration contest, so it will be even more fun for children and families to come downtown.”

The mission of Silver City MainStreet is "To encourage a vibrant, historic downtown Silver City which is recognized as the heart of our diverse community." Please visit our website here to learn more.
