Sabrina Thuerauf is a Silver High School graduate.  She attended NMSU receiving an Animal Science degree and then attended Washington State University and now has earned her Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine this spring.  She hopes to work in a mixed animal practice and help 4-H and FFA students along with the agricultural communities to help them grow and have a future.  She has been awarded $1000.

Hattie Dobrinski has attended Calvary Christian Academy and graduates this spring with additional credits from WNMU.  She will be attending Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.  She plans on obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Agribusiness and wishes to start an agricultural business supplying quality essential tools to farmers and ranchers. She was awarded $500.

Kolby Taylor is a Silver High School graduate and is attending NMSU majoring in Animal Science.  He is hoping to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and practice in a rural agricultural community. He wishes to care for all animals but to also help those families with show animals as he was helped by local veterinarians as a young man.  Kolby was also awarded $500.

The CowBelles are a non-profit organization whose purpose is providing educational information about the beef industry and preserving the heritage of the West.  We offer these scholarships to encourage the continuation of our western heritage in all areas of agriculture and rural life.
