The annual Wreaths Across America program at Fort Bayard National Cemetery is underway for 2023 with the following changes: wreath cost has increased to $17 and both the wreath placement and Remembrance Ceremony will be held on Saturday morning, December 16.

Members of the Grant County community are invited to remember and honor veterans buried/interred at the cemetery during the Christmas holiday season.

Last year over 2.7 million wreaths were placed at 3,072 participating locations throughout the United States (including Arlington) and abroad by over two million volunteers. lease join other individuals, organization and businesses who are helping by sponsoring wreaths to place at Fort Bayard. Each wreath now costs $17; however, for every two wreaths purchased, an additional third one will be provided.

Unique to Fort Bayard is that local special requests for wreath placements are honored with those placements guaranteed. Additionally a remembrance program is created listing each individual being honored with a wreath as well as the name of each wreath sponsor.
