Sealed Bids for general construction of “Addition to Whiskey Creek Volunteer Fire Station #2” IFB No. B-19-01 will be received by the Grant County Purchasing Agent at the Grant County Manager’s Office, 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico 88061 until 3:00 p.m. M.T. (Local Time), Thursday, September 06, 2018. At that time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened.

The Scope of Work is an Addition to the existing volunteer fire station #2 including site work, structural foundations, pre-engineered metal building, architectural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical as indicated on the drawings and in the project manual.

Drawings, specifications and contract documents may be examined, without charge, at the Grant County Manager’s Office at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico 88061 and ASA Architects, 201 North Alameda, Las Cruces, New Mexico, 88005, Phone (575) 526-3111.

Bona fide prime and sub bidders may obtain one (1) set of drawings and specifications from the Architect's office at 201 North Alameda, Las Cruces, New Mexico, 88005, Phone (575) 526-3111. No plans deposit is required but shipping costs do apply and are non-refundable. Plans Holders shall return sets in good condition no more than 14 days after bids have been opened. No partial sets will be issued.

Bidders are advised that the following is included in the contract:

1. Liquidated damage clause.
2. State Wage Rates.
3. Public Works and Apprenticeship and Training Act.
4. 5% Preference applicable to qualified New Mexico Contractors.
5. Bid Bond, Performance bond and Payment Bond shall be required from the Prime Contractor.
6. Contractors and all tiers of subcontractors whose bids are $60,000 or more must be registered with the Labor & Industrial Division of the New Mexico Labor Department.
7. A pre-bid conference will be held for all interested bidders on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. (Local Time) at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico 88061. Attendance is not mandatory but strongly recommended for contractors bidding the Work.

Grant County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities. Bids shall be good for 60 days following the opening of bids and may not be withdrawn without forfeiture of bid bond.
