The Higher Education Deptment has announced that the scholarship will no longer pay the entire cost of tuition. It will pay the average tuition for each class of institution. If your tuition is lower than the average it will pay the entire tuition.

For comprehensive universities it will pay $1,571. Because WNMU is the highest cost comprehensive university with tuition for a full time student at $2,003, every one of the approximately 300 students at WNMU on a Lottery Scholarship is going have to pay $432 a semester from their own pocket.

It's possible that this might be modified by contacting your state legislator, members of WNMU's Board of Regents or the President of WNMU.
