Dear Editor:

It's been mentioned by the public as to why there's no American Flag being flown during the events and after the events that are done in Silver City, especially in Gough Park.

I would like for the US FLAG to be flying. As to comments that it's being stolen, misplaced, taken from its Pole while being flown, I suggest that the apparatus on the pole being raised to at least 10 Feet above ground and putting wire rope of 3/16"-1/4" that is coated and a possible night light that will be on at dark and off a daylight. That way it'll be safer and show our residents and tourists our US FLAG, and, if feasible, on the same pole the State of NM FLAG-POW FLAG.
