Albuquerque, NM - Today, the Republican Party of New Mexico released the following statement following the end of the 2017 legislative session:

"Republican legislators have a lot to be proud about this year," said Republican Party of New Mexico Spokesman Tucker Keene. "Despite the Democrat majority wasting time on donor service, virtue-signaling against our president, and useless memorial bills, Republican legislators sponsored and passed several landmark pieces of legislation this session. From creating an ethics commission to providing local communities the resources to fight opioid addiction, Republicans recognized the problems facing our state and worked hard to pass the legislation addressing them. The Democrats will need to get their act together in the upcoming special session."
