ALBUQUERQUE – Michelle Lujan Grisham has done everything in her power to run from criticism after she apparently discriminated against and fired a transgender intern. Rather than owning up to her actions and apologizing to the former intern for her actions, which could lead to a Congressional investigation, Lujan Grisham instead filed a restraining order so she wouldn't have to face accountability for her discrimination.

"U.S. Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham has filed a restraining order on a transgender woman, citing concern for the safety of the Congresswoman.

"In 2015, Riley Del Rey interned in Lujan Grisham's Washington office. Del Rey claims that Lujan Grisham, D-N.M., fired her after she discovered she's transgender.

"Lujan Grisham, now a candidate for New Mexico governor, has disputed that claim. In the last few months, Del Rey has been attending Lujan Grisham's campaign events to protest." (KOB, 3/20/18)

That's right. Michelle Lujan Grisham, a member of Congress and candidate for governor, has filed a restraining order because she doesn't want to get protested at campaign events.

Even more embarrassing: a judge has overturned the restraining order.

"A restraining order meant to protect Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham from a former intern has been quashed.

"A judge granted the restraining order last week against Riley Del Rey, who claimed she was fired from Lujan Grisham's congressional office because she's transgender." (KRQE, 3/21/18)

"Instead of owning up to her mistakes, Michelle Lujan Grisham tried to use the legal system to push them away," said Ryan Gleason, executive director of RPNM. "Facing a possible Congressional investigation, Lujan Grisham tried to bully her accuser into silence. These actions are indefensible for anyone, particularly a candidate who wants to lead our state."
