ALBUQUERQUE—The Pearce for Governor campaign released a new ad today entitled, “Exposed.” The ad, which cites multiple, highly credible media reports of Grisham’s history of insider dealings and corruption, will air statewide on network and cable television.

Steve Pearce issued the following statement:

“As I travel all across our great state, I hear a consistent theme from New Mexicans from all political backgrounds. They tell me, ‘we are sick and tired of New Mexico politicians who game the system for their personal benefit.’ New Mexicans are tired of it. I'm tired of it. But if New Mexico elects Michelle Lujan Grisham, we'll be stuck with yet another self-serving corrupt politician who's in it for herself - not the people of New Mexico.

“As Grisham left the Richardson Administration, she and her campaign treasurer, Debbie Armstrong, were ‘mysteriously’ given a contract worth millions to manage the state's high risk health insurance pool. The Grisham and Armstrong team made millions off of taxpayers by overcharging sick New Mexicans - and used their political connections to keep the money flowing. To make matters worse, now Grisham's political allies are trying to cover up the money trail to protect her from investigation: suing to hide the records that would show her self-dealing.

“This kind of corruption is exactly what holds New Mexico back. Politicians rigging the system for their own gain while fleecing taxpayers. This November, we can change that.”
