Today, Chairman Steve Pearce released the following statement regarding New Mexico's U.S. House delegation's votes to allocate zero funding for much needed border security measures:

"As Representatives of a border state, our Congressional Delegation should know better than to oppose the needed funding for common sense border security," said Chairman Pearce. "Rather then playing dangerous political games that jeopardize our security, House Democrats like Reps. Lujan, Haaland, and Torres Small should work with the President and the Senate to fund the government while taking responsible steps to secure our border."
