Very sad. We have all but been brain washed into recycling, and I most definitely believe in recycling, so this just makes me sick. We do have "deep pockets" round here. Unfortunately none of them are mine. However, the dire economic system here, someone or group should be able to bring glass crushers and recyclers here.

How about our local leaders actually supporting business for this town for a change? Still have vacant stores, still have out of town business shop landlords, still have PR people and Realtors not actually promoting Silver City. Definitely failed to take advantage of the many "best small town" awards our beautiful Silver received.

They also forgot their years of promoting Silver as great "retirement town." Which it still is for the young retirees. For the elders, not so much. Seems like we can't recycle our elders either. Too much like throw away glass?
