Albuquerque, NM - After apparently wrapping up the nomination last week in the Northeast, Hillary Clinton suffered a surprising defeat in Indiana, showing that Democrats still cannot settle for such an uninspiring and corrupt candidate. Meanwhile, the Republican Party has picked their candidate and is ready to start the general election campaign.

"Democrats are not thrilled at all with the prospect that Hillary Clinton will be their nominee," said Republican Party of New Mexico Spokesman Tucker Keene. "Just last week the media and pundits were proclaiming that Hillary had wrapped up the nomination after vanquishing the socialist Bernie Sanders in the Northeast, but Democrat voters didn't seem to agree. Hillary was expected to win easily in Indiana and ended up losing by six points. That's not a strong position to be in with just a few weeks left in the primary season."

Republican voters have been turning out in record numbers all through the primary season, excited to defeat the Democrats and take back the White House in the fall. The Democrats meanwhile have been lagging behind 2008 primary turnout numbers, further showing that they just cannot get excited about Hillary as their nominee.

"As if the middling turnout numbers weren't evidence enough, the Democrats voted for Sanders in Indiana even after he's been mathematically eliminated from winning the nomination," said Keene. "Compared to the excitement of the Republicans this year, the Democrats have been downright depressed about their candidate, and we look forward to putting that excitement to good use this fall and electing a Republican President."
