Farmfest, the Wilderness Artisan Fair, will be held at the Little Toad Creek Inn & Tavern in Lake Roberts on the weekend of August 23-24, 2014. The festival will feature local artisans, live music outdoors, and lunch and dinner menus featuring local produce and meats.

Local artisans and artists will display and sell various kinds of work, including wooden furniture, felted crafts, gourd art, ceramics, rugs, nature crafts, metal work, leather work, jewelry, and fine art.

Saturday, August 23, at 4pm, Cold Cash Blues Band will play music outdoors at the "Country Toad," as the business is affectionately known since the Little Toad Brewery & Distillery opened in downtown Silver City last spring. Sunday, August 24, at 1pm, Rhythm Mystic will bring musical joy to Farmfest-goers.

Lunch and dinner menus will feature locavore fare, developed from this week's offerings at local farmer's markets and locally grown meats, including beef, pork and lamb.

"The point is to promote our locally grown goods, and have a good time outside at this beautiful time of year," says Teresa Dahl-Bredine, who owns and operates the Little Toad Creek Inn & Tavern with her husband David Crosley.

The festival will be held at Little Toad Creek Inn & Tavern near Lake Roberts. The remote restaurant, lodge, and brewery is located on Highway 35 at the junction of Highway 15, on the way to the Gila Cliff Dwellings north of Silver City. The event is free and open to the public. Dining and lodging reservations are recommended. For more information call 575-536-9649 or visit www.littletoadcreek.com.
