The Silver City Museum, in collaboration with Western New Mexico University's Theater 250, Storytelling class taught by Associate Professor Ann Marie Elder, is presenting a thrilling and sometimes chilling ghost walk for children and families from 1 pm to 3 pm, Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Silver City Museum. The Silver City Museum is located at 312 W. Broadway.

The Theater 250, Storytelling class is composed of students from the entire university including teachers in training for secondary education. "We are excited that the students wanted to collaborate with us again this year", states Curator of Education, Charmeine Wait. Each of the students will assume a character from Silver City or New Mexico's past. "This will be a fun, yet educational event for all involved and attending."

Children of all ages and families will find the museum's courtyard full of ghosts. Each ghost will tell their tale along the ghost tales scavenger hunt. Complete the hunt, and be rewarded with a treat! Also included this year will be Halloween crafts, and a pumpkin coloring contest. This is a great way to introduce your children to the museum and the walk is free. Bring your entire family for a fun Halloween at the Silver City Museum!

The Silver City Museum creates opportunities for residents and visitors to explore, understand and celebrate the rich and diverse cultural heritage of southwestern New Mexico by collecting, preserving, researching and interpreting the region's unique history.
