Silver City Community Theatre Debuts First Production in cooperation with Western New Mexico University

The Silver City Community Theatre debuts its inaugural theatrical season with an original Christmas play, A Twilight Christmas. This one act comedy asks what Santa's North Pole Workshop would be like if Santa and his elves had to comply with the laws, rules & regulations that apply to a modern-day American corporation.

Adult attendees are invited to a champagne reception at 6:00 pm on December 4 immediately before "Lights Up" on the Light Hall Patio to celebrate the return of live performances to Light Hall Theater. A Twilight Christmas will premiere at 6:30, December 4, 2014, one show only. Admission is free, donations to the SCCT are gratefully appreciated.

This is the first live theatrical performance at Light Hall in decades. WNMU President Joseph Shepard adds that "Light Hall was designed to be more than a movie theatre and more than a lecture hall; it was designed for students and community to come together in the celebration of a better quality of life. The inaugural theater event, 'A Twilight Christmas,' epitomizes the joy and collaboration of what we as a community have to offer in this spectacular venue."

An encore presentation of A Twilight Christmas will be provided to members of the Silver City Women's Club on December 12, 2014.
