CasinoNightPhoto 001 400w(L-R) Rotarians Kathy Eaton, Tracy Spikes (Executive Director of the Silver City Museum) and Sunny Yates don western wear to benefit the Silver City Museum Society.

The Rotary Club of Silver City will host a Casino Night in the Governor's Room at Billy's BBQ Restaurant at 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 13th. Proceeds from the event, billed as "an elegant evening in the old west," will benefit the Silver City Museum Society and, in particular, will be used to underwrite the Silver City Museum's watershed project. Donations will be requested at the door. The suggested donation is $50 per person.

This project, a planned outdoor exhibit on the Big Ditch, will grace the Museum courtyard in the heart of our historic downtown. The exhibit will serve as a lasting symbol of our town's commitment to preserve and honor the unique history of our region, and will provide valuable lessons regarding human impacts on the watershed and the importance of environmental stewardship. It will also serve as a high quality educational resource for school groups and families.

Kathy Eaton, Rotarian and spokesperson for the Casino Night, stated that "the event will include games of Roulette, Blackjack, Craps and Texas Hold 'Em poker. We'll also have appetizers, live entertainment, prizes, and a no-host bar. This promises to be an evening of great fun!"
