A talented trio of songwriters/performers called Hits and Grins comes to Silver City from Nashville on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. The group features two Grammy nominated songwriters and a comedian who is also a member of the Country Radio Broadcast Hall of Fame. They will perform at the Western New Mexico University Fine Arts Theatre starting at 7:00 p.m. The group will bring to us a unique blend of comedy and musical artistry, a one-of-a-kind experience of acoustical music interspersed with great stories. The concert is supported in part by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and by the National Endowment for the Arts. This is a Gǣdon't missGǥ event!

Members of the group include Steve Dean, Victoria Venier and Bill Whyte. Steve Dean has written six #1 hits in his storied career including 2007's most played song, GǣWatching YouGǥ for Rodney Atkins. Other #l hits were written for George Strait, Reba McEntire, Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys and Lee Greenwood.

Victoria Venier has toured the country with many different shows and bands. She has been a featured artist on the stages of many of Nashville's hottest music clubs, including the world renowned Bluebird Caf+
